Report abuse and legal requests

Use this page to report a picture or send a formal legal request. You do not need an account.

A. Report in the game

The fastest way to report another player's picture is in the Game: next to the picture, choose the flag button ("Report picture") and pick a reason. Reports about intimate images shared without consent, and about child safety, hide the picture right away while we review it (to stop misuse of this, a single person can only hide a few pictures a day this way, and the rest are reviewed by us as quickly as we can). Your report is anonymous: the player is never told who reported them.

B. Intimate image shared without consent (TAKE IT DOWN)

If an intimate picture of you, or of a person you are authorized to act for, was shared on Lunar Looters without consent, you can ask us to remove it. This includes real images and images that were digitally altered or generated to look like a real person.

What happens next. We aim to act on valid requests within 48 hours of receipt. We also look for identical copies of the picture on the Game and hide or remove the ones we find. You do not have to be a player to send this request.

Your statement Say that the picture is an intimate visual image of you, or of a person you are authorized to act for, that was shared without consent. Add anything that helps us find it (for example the player's call sign). Do not attach or describe the image itself.

C. Child safety concern

Use this form if you see a picture that sexually exploits or endangers a child. Reports of child sexual abuse material are forwarded to the authorities (in the United States, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), and we hide the picture as soon as we can while we act. Please do not copy, download or share the image.

If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. You can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline.

This is also the place for a concern about a child's account. The Game is for people 13 and older. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child under 13 has an account, or you want to ask what we hold about your teen or have it deleted, email the contact address shown under "Our contact details" above, and give the call sign or email address on the account. Please do not send photos or IDs.

D. Copyright (DMCA) notice

If a picture on Lunar Looters uses your copyrighted work without permission, you (or a person authorized to act for the owner) can send us a notice. Please send it only if you are the owner or are authorized to act for them. A notice that is knowingly false can have legal consequences. Our designated agent for copyright notices is listed under "Our contact details" above.

E. Counter-notice

If we removed your picture because of a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake, you can send us a counter-notice. Email it to the contact address shown under "Our contact details" above. Include:

your name, address, phone number and email;
a description of the picture that was removed and where it was before it was removed;
a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified;
a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any court where we can be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice; and
your physical or electronic signature.

F. Repeat infringers

It is our policy to end the accounts of players who are repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances.
